PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

Teen/Adult Division

Minimum Basic Requirements

BALLET DIVISION

Ages 15-18: 5 Ballet/Pointe + 1 Modern or Jazz + NEDT

Class levels to be determined by the Directors based on the needs and development of the individual student

MODERN DIVISION

Age 15: 1 Modern + 1 Jazz + 2 Ballet (1 with Pointe) + NEDT

Ages 16 - 18: 1 Modern + 1 Jazz + 2 Ballet (1 with Pointe) + Choice of 1 Additional Class Chosen from Modern or Jazz or Ballet or Tap + NEDT

Class levels and classes chosen to be determined by the Directors based on the needs, goals, and development of the individual student

JAZZ/TAP DIVISION

Age 15: 1 Jazz + 1 Tap + 2 Ballet (at least 1 with Pointe) + NEDT

Ages 16 - 18: 1 Jazz + 1 Tap + 1 Modern + 2 Ballet (at least 1 with Pointe) + NEDT

Class levels and classes chosen to be determined by the Directors based on the needs, goals, and development of the individual student

It is strongly recommended that Jazz/Tap majors participate in such activities as school chorus, school show choir, or acapella group, and perform in at least 1 school theater production or community theater production before graduating high school
